    South Mills River area, NC (no reservations, first come, first served)
    [Directions: Take I-26 to Exit 40 for St. Rt. 280 west Asheville Airport exit, bear right and pass the airport for 16 miles.  Turn right on Rt. 276 North (just after the Bi-Lo grocery) and drive for 11.8 miles.  At a 1/4 mile past the Pink Bed Picnic Area bear right on Rt. 1206 (gravel) and drive for 3.3 miles. Turn right on Rt. 476 for 25 feet and the campground is on the left.] 
    Easy access, flat primitive camping with water available and pit toilet; mules need high lines; community potluck dinners on Friday and Saturday nights. Call one of the hosts if you need a camping spot saved.

Please call the ride host with questions and RSVP to the events.
Events listed on this schedule with an ** in front of them are not CMA hosted events.
Mules, donkeys, and horses are not to be tied to trees at any time, on any CMA rides.  They must be cross-tied between trees or hobbled. If you are not sure how to do this safely or need ropes, please ask other CMA members for help.  This is a simple and quick way to protect our rights to ride and enjoy the parks and wilderness areas.
